A quartet of gimmicky steampunk short stories written to incorporate four Tor.com readers who won a contest. The stories themselves read rather like Gunn threw a bunch of stock steampunk ingredients into a blender and then poured the resulting melange into four short glasses. It's a pretty forgettable collection, unless you happen to be one of the people who became a character.
