Harriet the Spy - Louise Fitzhugh A much-beloved book during my pre-teen years. I loved Harriet. Loved her individualism and humor. Identified with the way she was always on the fringe of grade school society. I tried keeping a secret spy notebook like hers, but never put much in it. My classmates weren't all that interesting.
