The Sirens of Titan - Kurt Vonnegut I've never met a Vonnegut book I didn't like. This is one of his early works, if I recall correctly. It was satirical, absurd and trippy -- everything you'd expect from Vonnegut. I particularly enjoyed how the main character made his fortune on the stock market. I've always meant to try that technique sometime when I have some spare cash to invest, and the market isn't in a total freefall.
