Light in the Attic - Shel Silverstein What kid who grew up in the 80s didn't love this? I still find Silverstein's poetry wonderfully funny. "Crowded Tub" was a particular favorite when I was in third grade. It's incredibly simple, but always made me giggle.

Crowded Tub

There are too many kids in this tub
There are too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There are too many kids in this tub.
