I read this volume of short stories after seeing the Mystery! adaptation in the 80s. I thought Francesca Annis was fabulous (still do), and just fell in love with Tommy and Tuppence. They were bold, adventurous and fun
. I wanted to be British and live in the 20s and be one of Blunt's Brilliant Detectives, and catch spies, and recover stolen diamonds, and drink champagne and dance the night away. Alas, it was not to be, at least not in this life (but perhaps in a past one?).
