Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer I'm feeling compelled to finally finish this in the wake of some recent controversy over the book being on an optional reading list at a local high school.

I liked it, saw a lot in it that was brilliant, when I read the first 100 pages or so circa September 2008, but I wasn't sold on Oskar's voice. Will I be able to set that aside this time? I'm feeling more generous toward Jonathan Safran Foer as a writer right now because of what seems to me a tempest in a teapot.
