Zombie - Joyce Carol Oates Oates really got under my skin and creeped me the fuck out with this book. She presents a character so devoid of conscience, and yet there are moments I felt compassion for Quentin P and his loneliness and his desire to be loved without judgment. But in the end I'm left wanting to shower with a brillo pad to scrub Quentin's POV off of me.
